Riley's First 4th

We had an amazing time over the 4th of July weekend down in Tulsa. Aunt Lynn was a fabulous hostess, as were her awesome pups Homer, Buddy & Sam. Riley and I were able to meet Great Grandma and Grandpa Biedermann for the first time and Riley swam in a big pool for the first time and watched her first fireworks display. We all loved all of the new "firsts" and couldn't believe how quickly the time passed. Here are some pics from the trip (for more, here is a link to a webshots album: http://family.webshots.com/album/564032581hHYnHQ ) and a fun video of Riley in the pool:

NY Trip Part II

We're going to start the second half of our NY trip post with a quick shout-out to Aunt Linda Richardson. Aunt Linda had knee replacement surgery on the Wednesday we were in NY. We hope you're recovering quickly and feeling better each day!

Happy Birthday Skyler!

Today is our niece Skyler's 1st birthday! Unfortunately we couldn't make it up to Michigan for the big celebration. We can't wait to see her next month for Aunt Megan's wedding!

In other news, we just got back from a long weekend trip to Tulsa, OK. We had so much fun staying with Aunt Lynn and hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa B. Riley even got to take her first dip in a "big" pool! We have lots of great pics and a few videos to share, but first we need to post those NY pics we have been promising you. Here is a link to my mom's Webshots album of the trip: http://community.webshots.com/album/563949219MVfLwS (there are over 200 pics) and here's round one of our posts (pictures in reverse chron. order): Riley had so much fun at the Skychief's game (Syracuse's AAA ball club)

Grandma even "caught" a foul ball for Riley!

Riley honking the mascot's nose--Mommy's totally oblivious to the mischief.

Riley perfecting her fake smile.

Our little monkey enjoying her first trip to the zoo.

Riley LOVED the penguin exhibit!

The silly elephant would not turn around for our family photo op.

Riley picking grass at Uncle Bobby's baseball game (he coaches the local Babe Ruth team)

Riley also loved her big girl booster seat.

Riley modeling her jelly lipstick. Can you tell that Grandpa helped apply it?

Riding on the train.

Watkins-MacLachlan (minus Aunt Lizzie) family photo at Yankee Stadium. NY won 4-1 against the Reds. Their one run was a Ken Griffey Jr. home run, which was also very cool!

Post-game photo session.

Riley is such a great traveller. This was taken on our way to Boston.

Back in Kansas

We just got back (Sunday) from a fun packed week in New York and Boston. Riley did a great job traveling again and we all had a blast catching up with family. We've got tons of great pictures to share with you, but I'm going to have to post them in installments later. For now, here are some fun pics of Riley enjoying her kiddie pool this afternoon. There's also a video of her climbing the stairs...already a little daredevil!
